Bags range from 7’0” to 10’2” and vary by price depending on length of trip, and size of bag. So when the grom down the street comes creedeling over to snag your bag, send him down to the surf ghetto on Calle de los Molinos in San Clemente. The boys at the Factory at Bashams are in the business of hooking up scraping surfers like us.

As far as we know this is an industry first, so we got to hand it to the guys at Basham’s for this trip saver. But be careful,  its hard to leave that place without a new or used board (there’s at least 500). Especially because they’ll even let you demo one of their filthy new hybrid models like the Quadalupe, Bamburger, or What The Fish?!

Ocean Beach Surf & Skate would like to give thanks to all their loyal fans this Thanksgiving with a gut-buster of an event. Gobble up great savings and grub at the OBSS Turkey Bowl and Parking Lot Sale on Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. This surf and skate expo will feature exclusive sale booths from various Ocean Beach Surf & Skate vendors, as well as great grub grilled to perfection by OB locals. Festival goers will also groove to great tunes from San Diego artists such as the incredibly talented and young, Blonde Bros, the surf reggae band, FieldTrip, and many more! Lately, everyone has been hitting us hard and heavy with their videos. Keep ‘em coming, we say. The two clips featured above come courtesy of Infinity Surfboards in Dana Point alumni. The first spotlights legendary shaper Terry Senate explaining his design theories of his famed thruster, the  Hook Rail, circa 1980. For a limited time Infinity is again offering this design, using the original template and shaped by the man himself!

The second clip showcases Infinity shaper Dan Boehne charging hard on one of his own designs.

The city of Del Mar has no idea what’s in store for them this weekend. Forget hitting the track, get yourself over to Rusty’s for their mammoth 2-for -1 clothing sale. Everything, and we do mean EVERTHING is up for grabs — just as long as it’s equal or lesser value. And not to be outdone, their amazing selection of wetsuits and accessories have been marked down 20%. Just to let you know how serious this event is, a dozen or so U-Haul’s are already lined up around the block. Get some!

Just two quick, but very cool, tid bits from New Smyrna’s Red Dog Surf Shop. The first being their big 4th place finish in the Oakley Surf Shop Challenge. The second being that Rip Curl is touching down this weekend in search of a new, hot grom. Step it up kids if you think you’ve got what it takes.

Did you hear? All the cool kids are spraining their thumbs texting about Fluid Surf’s annual end-of-summer sidewalk sale, happening August 28 – 30. Better set up camp on the sidewalk now, becuase prices will be slashed up to 70%. Plenty of hot BBQ and cold drinks will be available to help frantic shoppers keep up their strength.
