You know that expression, “it takes one to know one”? Well when it comes to pioneering feats, we’d like to think we’ve cornered the market on several revolutionary online retail efforts. Which in our minds means that we’re more than qualified to call out the greatness in others–being that we’re so bitchin’ ourselves. Case in point, the upcoming launch of Dewey Weber Surfboards Storybards.
Fast approaching their 50th anniversary year in 2010, Dewey will be releasing a special edition of 50 numbered collectible boards portraying the life of the company’s legendary founder and namesake in a beautiful collage of images spread out from tail to tip. The images chronicle Dewey’s life and include a photo of Dewey as a child decked out in a Buster Brown costume (he was an official Buster Brown model). Other images will include Dewey surfing, being handed contest trophies, deep sea fishing, and additional photos of his family. All Storyboards will be Weber Performer models (the top-selling longboard all time, in case you didn’t know) and will feature lengths of 9′6″ or 10′.
As you’d imagine, these collector’s items will sell out very, very quickly. So we highly suggest you contact the shop immediately with cash in hand
