Proud Parents and Great Genes at Longboard House

During the East Coast Championships in Virginia Beach this past weekend, two up-and-coming short boarders and one pro longboarder did their parents proud with two 1st place titles, and one 2nd place finish.
Mikey Detemple, son of Longboard House manager Sue Detemple, took the win in the Pro Longboard division only a month after having his fourth surgery to correct the placement of his pacemaker. Not to be outdone, Corey Howell, son of Longboard House’s Board Room manager Randy Howell, took home the 1st place trophy in the Boys division. And proudly representing the women’s contingency, Emily Ruppert, who’s mom Nancy is also an employee of Longboard House, took 2nd place in the Junior Women’s division after successfully beating out a slew of much older competitors.
Sounds like something is definitely in the water over at Longboard House. Hopefully they can get whatever that is bottled and on their shelves.
